The company was born in 1994 as a passionate hobby that the owner Antonella had for the land. It began by the restoration work of an abandoned farm house and its ajoining barns. Next came the recovery of the land and its cultivation which had been abandoned over 30 years. The greater part of the land was given over to the cultivation of the olive trees that were already on the property with many more added. Orchards that yield ancient fruits such as the quince apple and the jujube tree were planted. A vegetable garden also was given its space, yielding artichokes, tomatoes, zucchini, lettuce, green beans, potatoes, leeks and onions, all surrounded by bushes of aromatic grasses such as sage, rosemary, chives, lavender, thyme, marjoram, oregano and mint. Strawberrry and blueberry patches were also added to round of the product yield.
As the yield of the land grew and began to assume more importance, Antonella thought to transform a hobby to the making of products for sale. Jams, sauces, vegetables preserved in oil, traditional virgin olive oil and aromatic oil with all the traditional herbs of the Mediterranean were tested and experimented by friends and family. In 2002 Antonella was ready to take her products to market.
The particular way that she overseas her products from planting to picking, to processing, to bottling, all done on her land, ensure the genuine quality of the products. Antonella if fervent about the observation of the cycle of the seasons and to the pruning, maintainance and upgrading of the fertility of her farm, ensuring its organic nature by using no chemicals. Her fruits and vegetables are picked when mature and at dawn when their freshness is still integral. The fruits and vegetables are only picked in small amounts and processed quickly to ensure they maintain the flavour, qualilty, colour and vitamins. Antonella's products are gifts from the earth, water and sun of Tuscany.
